Orezone Resumes Operations in Burkina Faso

Orezone Gold Corporation (TSX:ORE) announced its operations in Burkina Faso are steadily resuming and work is underway to repair minor damages and clean up at the Bomboré field camp.

As quoted in the press release:

No major items were materially affected such as the building structures, stored drill core, drilling equipment, generators and the fuel depot.  Some members of the community living near the site, acted on their own, to defend the camp and prevented more extensive damage. The vandals consisted of artisanal miners who have been squatting in the area without ties to the local community. Our employees noted that several of these squatters have already left the project area to avoid prosecution by the local authorities for their actions.
