World Money Show Vancouver

April 6-8, 2010

Money Show’s parent company InterShow has been producing investment tradeshows primarily in the US for over 30 years.  Founded in 1978 by Charles and Kim Githler, InterShow’s events include The Money Show, The Traders Expo, The Forex & Options Trading Expo, The Financial Advisor Symposium, and luxurious investment cruises. In the past, their shows have included speakers such as Steve Forbes, Frank Holmes and Bernie Schaeffer.  Money Shows have been held in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Orlando and New York.

In 2010, World Money Shows were created with new shows being launched in London, Hong Kong, Toronto and this week in Vancouver.

For investors in Vancouver, this event will be different in that it will focus beyond the mining and natural resources sector that Vancouver specializes in.  While commodities will be included under the heading ETF’s, Commodities, Options & Trading, other topics include Global Markets & Economy and Stocks, Income & Bonds.  Commodity focused companies such as NovaGold, Endeavour Silver and Western Potash will be presenting.  But there will also be presentations from Nutra Pharma, Best Choice Software and Santo Spirits, illustrating the breadth of topics that will be covered.

Presentations from Procter & Gamble, Royal Dutch Shell and Vale (CVDR) display the range of Fortune 1000 companies the World Money Shows have been able to attract.

The Global Markets & Economy should prove particularly interesting.  Presentation titles include “Worldwide Recovery and the Impact of the Emerging Markets,” presented by Bill Hubard, “Trading Opportunities in Global Markets,” from Colin Cieszynski and “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Asset Allocators,” with Paul Taylor.  Hubard is chief economist for Swiss MIG Bank, which specializes in forex brokering services in over 120 countries.  Cieszynski is a market analyst and manager of education with CMC Markets Canada, the Canadian branch of CMC Markets out of the UK, which started brokering forex trading in 1989.  Taylor is chief investment officer for BMO Harris Private Banking and is responsible for the overall investment strategy for the firm.

There will also be some topics for the Vancouver investor focused on the junior exploration space.  John Costigan of Western Potash will be presenting on the topic, “Leveraging the Potash Industry by Investing in a Premium Potash Exploration Company.”  And, Dig Media’s own Nick Smith will be discussing, “Uranium–Buy When Others Are Selling!”

The World Money Show in Vancouver will be a unique event, presenting investors with a range of perspectives not seen before in the city.  Not an event to be missed for any investor serious about the global economy and having a truly diversified perspective.  For full details and to register, click here.
