Peruvian Gold, Iron Ore Rises in May; Tin, Led plunge

Platts reports that tin production fell in May in Peru according to the Ministry of Mines.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Production by Peru’s only tin miner, Minsur, in May fell 24.7%, to 2,189 mt, from the year-ago month. The cumulative output for the first five months of the year was 11,325 mt, or 26% less than in the same period last year.
