Perth Now reported on base metals trading on Tuesday on the London Metal Exchange as tin became the stand out loser.

As quoted in the market news:

Tin was the standout loser of the base metal complex on Tuesday, closing 4.5 per cent lower on the day at $17,530/ton.

Since tin is the most illiquid of the LME metals, it is the most prone to sharp movements. However, the metal also appears to suffering from technically-driven selling, having broken below the $18,300/ton-$19,300/ton range it has been trading in for around a month, said Standard Bank.
