Peru’s January Moly Production Up Nearly 50 Percent on Year

Mineweb reported that according to Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines, the country’s molybdenum, copper and tin production rose in January. Zinc and gold output, however, did not fare so well.

Mineweb reported that according to Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines, the country’s molybdenum, copper and tin production rose in January. Zinc and gold output, however, did not fare so well.

As quoted in the market news:

Peru’s moly output increased 46.34% from 982 metric tons in January 2013 to 1,437 metric tons in January 2014, as copper production increased nearly 20% from 93,307 metric tons to 111,855 metric tons during the same period.

Tin production rose 26.73% from 1,590 metric tons in January 2013 to 2,015 metric tons in January of this year.
