Freeport Approves Start-Up at Climax Mine

Mining Weekly reported that Freeport McMoRan (NYSE:FCX) will begin molybdenum production at the Climax mine in 2012.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The mine, which Adkerson touted as “the best molybdenum project in the world”, could be scaled up to 30-million pounds a year at some point, depending on the market conditions.
