Morien Receives Final Environmental Approval for Donkin Coal Project
Morien Resources Corp. (TSXV:MOX) announced that Nova Scotia’s provincial environment minister has provided it with a positive environmental assessment decision for its Donkin coal project. With that decision, the company now has all the environmental approvals necessary to proceed toward full production.

With that decision, the company now has all the environmental approvals necessary to proceed toward full production.
As quoted in the press release:
The Minister stated in his decision that after a review of the information provided by the proponents, coupled with information provided during the government and public consultation process, he was satisfied that any adverse effects or significant environmental effects of the undertaking can be adequately mitigated through compliance with a list of terms and conditions.
The positive decision comes nearly twelve months after the Project was registered for environmental assessment in accordance with Part IV of Nova Scotia’s Environment Act. To view the full environmental assessment approval, please visit the Nova Scotia Department of Environment website here.
