India Coal Shortage will Continue on Missed Fuel Supply Deadline

Bloomberg reported that Coal India (BSE:533278) will not meet the deadline set for it to sign fuel supply agreements.

As quoted in the market news:

The board of the state-owned company hasn’t agreed on a clause in the accord requiring Coal India to supply at least 80 percent of the contracted amount of fuel or pay a penalty, the government official said yesterday.
