Six Georgia co-ops are equity participants in the Power4Georgians project: Cobb Electric Membership Corp., Central Georgia EMC, Pataula EMC, Snapping Shoals EMD, Upson EMC, and Washington EMC; Cobb EMC owns Pataula EMC. The group has indicated that it hopes to build the $2.1 billion project and begin commercial operation of the facility as soon as 2017-18.
