Arkansas Coal Plant Opponents Settle with SWEPCO

Forbes reported that Southwestern Electric Power Co. has scaled back its development plans to appease opponents of the company’s proposed coal plant.

The market news is quoted as saying:

SWEPCO announced that it had reached a settlement with the Hempstead County Hunting Club Inc. and several other area landowners who had opposed the John W. Turk Jr. Power Plant.
