Flooding Concerns over Supply Push Australian Coal Prices up

Reuters reported that Australian coal prices are being pushed upwards by supply concerns caused by heavy rains and flooding in the country’s eastern region.

As quoted in the market report:

But after a year in which global coal prices dropped due to plentiful inventories, some industry sources said concerns about a major supply shortage due to the rains were overblown.
