EPA Gives Final Verdict in Vasse Coal Case

Mining Weekly reported that LD Operations intends to appeal the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision on the Vasse coal project.

The editorial is quoted as saying:

he EPA’s report to Marmion, the watchdog concluded that the proposed mine posed “serious risks” to important environmental values in the Margaret River region, especially on surface and groundwater and on the “social surroundings”.
