Australia’s Whitehaven expects takeover bids in early Feb

Reuters.com reports that Whitehaven Coal (ASX:WHC) states that it will likely begin receiving takeover bids in the coming weeks.

Whitehaven, which launched a formal process to find a buyer in October, said on Thursday it had signed confidentiality agreements with a number of interested parties ahead of a deadline for indicative bids in early February.
