Australia’s Coking Coal Exports to Rise to 165Mt Next Year

Mining Weekly reported that coking coal exports will increase in 2012 once flood-ravaged coal mines resume full production.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The country exported 159-million tons of metallurgical coal in 2010, but exports were forecast to come in at 137-million tons this year, owing to heavy floods in late 2010 and early 2011, the Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics (BREE) said in a report on Tuesday.
