Rio Tinto’s 2013 Diamond Production Totals 16.027 Million Carats

Rapaport reported that Rio Tinto plc’s (LSE:RIO,ASX:RIO,NYSE:RIO) 2013 diamond production came to 16.027 million carats, a 22-percent increase compared to the previous year.

As quoted in the market news:

Argyle’s production grew 35 percent to 11.395 million carats, while the ‎company’s share of Diavik production rose only 0.2 percent to 4.346 million carats and Murowa’s production increased 3 percent to 322,000 carats.‎
