Petra Sees Positive Diamond Results in Botswana

Mining Weekly reported Petra Diamonds (LSE:PDL) on Wednesday reported diamond grades of 75 carats per hundred tons of ore from its Botswana mine.

As quoted in the market news:

The diamond miner said a drilling and microdiamond sampling campaign carried out at the KX36 kimberlite pipe during 2011, produced a total of 250 diamonds, weighing 0.76 ct, from 403.88 kg of kimberlite. The largest diamond recovered was a white, transparent dodecahedron, weighing 0.4 ct.
