Israeli trader barred as ‘blood diamonds’ suspect

AFP.com reports that the Israel Diamond Exchange has expelled a member who is allegedly involved with blood diamonds.

The story is quoted as saying:

One of the exchange’s traders, David Vardi, was implicated in an attempt to smuggle 140,000 dollars (107,000 euros) worth of rough diamonds from Zimbabwe into Israel, said Israel Diamond Exchange president Avi Paz
