The Israel Diamond Exchange announced that it will be postponing this summer’s International Diamond Week due to “continuing tensions in the region.” The event was originally set to take place from September 1 to 4.

Israel Diamond Exchange President Shmuel Schnitzer commented:

In view of the recent events in our region, the board of the Israel Diamond Exchange decided to postpone the Israel Diamond Week, originally scheduled to be held September 1-4, for several weeks.

Of course, it is unfortunate that our endeavor to create a unique trading platform for international diamond dealers and buyers had to be postponed, but I am confident that we will be successful in the near future. We all look forward to holding the Israel Diamond Week at a time that we can all concentrate on what we do best – conducting our diamond businesses.
