VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwired – Sept. 15, 2016) – CRYSTAL EXPLORATION INC. (the “Company” or “Crystal”) (TSX VENTURE:CEI) is pleased to provide an exploration and corporate update. Results from the recent exploration program are expected during Q4, 2016. Crystal management anticipates regular news dissemination throughout the remainder of 2017 based on diamond results, acquisitions, exploration results and the completion of the technical report which will summarize targets which may lead to the discovery of a new kimberlite(s).
Exploration Program
Field work at Crystal’s 100% owned Muskox, Contwoyto and Hood Project areas, located in Nunavut, Canada, has now been completed. The program identified and prioritized numerous targets for the potential discovery of new kimberlite(s) during 2017. The program included prospecting and mapping; till sampling (146 samples), rock sampling (1 sample at the James River Kimberlite Dyke) and 83.01 line kilometers of ground geophysical surveying at 17 land based targets. The samples have been sent to the Saskatchewan Research Council Analytical Laboratories (“SRC”) in Saskatoon for analysis. Results are expected in the fourth quarter (“Q4”), 2016.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM is scheduled for September 19, 2016 where Crystal shareholders have the opportunity to re-elect current management and board of directors. In addition, Michael Dufresne, P.Geol., is a fourth board of director nominee. Mr. Dufresne is the President and a Principal of APEX Geoscience Ltd., a privately owned, independent geological consulting company. Mr. Dufresne has been a consultant to diamond companies worldwide and has been part of various teams responsible for the discovery of numerous diamond bearing kimberlites.
Geological Report
A NI43-101 Technical Report is expected during Q4, 2016 and will focus on the Muskox Project and will include newly developed kimberlite targets within the Contwoyto and Hood Project areas. The Report will be authored by Dean Besserer, P.Geol. Mr. Besserer has extensive diamond experience and includes managing diamond projects with annual budgets in excess of $10 million from discovery to bulk sample on behalf numerous private and public companies including: De Beers Canada; Monopros; BHP Diamonds; Stornoway Diamond Corp; Shear Minerals Ltd; Indicator Minerals; Ashton Mining; Vaaldium Resources; Grizzly Diamonds; Hunter Exploration; Marum Resources; and New Blue Diamonds in the USA, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Botswana and Australia.
Diamond Results
Diamond results are expected from the Muskox Kimberlite diamond drill holes during Q4, 2016 from previously un-sampled drill core. Whole core samples will be processed at the SRC using their Dense Media Separation (“DMS”) processing plant for the purpose of recovering commercial sized (approximately +0.85 mm) diamonds. Timing on lab results are dependent on the capacity at the SRC.
New Acquisitions
The Crystal team has identified additional targets for acquisition located in Nunavut. The acquisitions will be announced once complete and include targets that lie at or near the heads of kimberlite indicator mineral (“KIM”) trains with underlying geophysical anomalies.
