The Africa Report.com reports that groups are lobbying hard in Côte d’Ivoire to have a ban on Diamond exports lifted.

The group is pushing for interim measures to ease the ban, including the creation of a state buying house, approving a list of approved diamond buyers or ensuring Kimberley Process certification for Ivorian mines.
