ALROSA Business Unit Finds 235.16-carat Diamond

Rapaport reported that in late September, one of ALROSA’s (MCX:ALNU) business units, the Aikhal mining and concentration mill, recovered a 235.16-carat, gem-quality rough diamond. Its value is expected to come to between $1.5 and $2 million.

Rapaport reported that in late September, one of ALROSA’s (MCX:ALNU) business units, the Aikhal mining and concentration mill, recovered a 235.16-carat, gem-quality rough diamond. Its value is expected to come to between $1.5 and $2 million.

As quoted in the market news:

The stone was produced from the depths of the Yubileynaya (Jubilee) diamond pipe and its dimensions are 42 millimeters by 26 millimeters by 28 millimeters. The crystal is transparent, with a yellow hue and there are small graphite-sulfide inclusions along the periphery.
