Uranium spot price approaches $70

Platts.com reports uranium spot price was boosted to US$70/lb by Ux Consulting yesterday.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Ux Consulting late Monday boosted its spot price to $70/lb, up $2 from a week earlier. UxC said that with the 70% rise in the spot price over the past seven months, some buyers are being “scared into” buying, believing they will only pay higher prices if they wait. UxC said that trend appears to be propelling the current market with more buyers emerging, including utilities, producers, traders, and financial entities.
