Industrials Fuels and Power reports uranium sector showing signs of improvement.
The uranium spot prices edged upward by US$1 to US$41.75/lb in the week ended June 28, lifting MoM prices by the same amount as buyers returned to the market. Three transactions were concluded this week with an additional contract for 200,000lb expected to close in the coming few days, according to TradeTech, which put the uranium spot price on June 25 at US$41.00. As the week drew to a close, buyers showed increasing willingness to accept higher prices as a number of them believe the market has reached the bottom.
