Taxpayers on Hook to Stem Contamination from Saskatchewan Uranium Projects

The Star Phoenix reported that poor environmental regulation from past uranium projects in Saskatchewan is resulting in a large bill for tax payers.

As quoted in the market report:

Because the companies that caused the pollution are no longer in existence, these costs now fall to the federal and provincial taxpayers. The goal of industry and regulators now is simply to prevent the contamination from getting any worse.
