Bloomberg.com reports Rio Tinto Group said production losses at its Rossing uranium mine in Namibia were “limited” .

Workers at the mine threatened to strike if management fail to address grievances over pay and working conditions within the next seven days, the Namibian reported. Rossing missed “several hours” of output yesterday after miners stopped work to protest about the time being taken to address their concerns, the Windhoek-based newspaper said, citing Ismael Kasuto, chairman of the Rossing branch of the Mineworkers Union of Namibia.
