Kazakhstan Boosts Uranium Production 9%

Reuters reported Kazakhstan boosted uranium output by about 9 percent to 19,450 tonnes in 2011 it said on Friday.

As quoted in the market news:

Kazatomprom said its own production totalled 11,079 tonnes and accounted for 20 percent of global production of the metal, which is used to produce nuclear fuel.
