FP reports Cameco Corp., a Canadian uranium producer has purchased additional shares of UEX Corp. to increase its stake in the company.

Cameco bought about 4.1 million UEX shares between May 13 and June 18 at purchase prices between 74¢ and 85¢, bringing its total stake in the uranium exploration and development company to about 23.3%.
