SD Works to Boost Exploration for Oil and Gas

Business Week reports that South Dakota is encouraging more exploration for oil and gas.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Most of South Dakota’s oil and gas production is in Harding County in the northwest corner of the state, bordering North Dakota and Montana. The state reports that oil production in South Dakota has been about 1.6 million barrels a year in the past four years.
