Sonde Resources Corp. (TSX:SOQ,AMEX:SOQ) announced that its financial and operating results for the first quarter of 2012 include decreased production compared to the previous quarter.

As quoted in the press release:

For the three months, ended March 31, 2012, production averaged 2,746 boe/d. The decrease in production from the fourth quarter of 2011 is primarily due to decreased gas volumes due to gas wells being shut-in and natural decline, with few capital expenditures allocated to replacing gas production.
