Proposed Gas Plant in Utah Focus of Initiative

Forbes reports that a proposed plant that would convert coal to natural gas is facing opposition from a group of residents in southern Utah town of Kanab.

The market news is quoted as saying:

More than 600 people signed a petition seeking a citywide vote on the project, said Jim Walls, an organizer with KanabCares, which was formed to fight the plant’s construction.
