New England Dependence on Natural Gas May Pose Problems

Reuters reported that New England likely has enough power to generate heat and electricity this winter, but the area’s dependence on natural gas could pose a problem for grid operators.

As quoted in the market report:

ISO New England has raised concerns about the region’s reliance on natural gas as part of our broader strategic planning initiative efforts,” Vamsi Chadalavada, executive vice president and chief operating officer, said in a release.
