Hedge Fund Managers Increasing Gas Positions on Cold U.S. Weather

The Financial Post reported that hedge fund managers are increasing net-long positions on natural gas because of cold U.S. weather.

As quoted in the market report:

All of a sudden, we’re getting very, very cold weather seeping into the key gas-consuming areas of the Midwest and Northeast,” Teri Viswanath, director of commodities strategy at BNP Paribas SA in New York, said by phone on Jan. 18. “We’ve made some progress whittling down inventories.
