Futures swung between gains and losses as the Labor Department said the jobless rate dropped to 9 percent in October and payrolls rose following gains in the prior two months that were revised up. Crude fell as much as 1.3 percent after German Chancellor Angela Merkel said governments were awaiting further details on Europe’s rescue package before committing cash.
