EMC Metals Receives Initial Surface Assays

EMC Metals Corp. (TSX:EMC) reports assay results from a surface soil sampling of its Tørdal property.

The press release is quoted as saying,

The most promising scandium-bearing zone was observed at the north end of the tested area, and remains open to the north.  The highest sample values were associated with previously unmapped pegmatite bodies up to 20 metres wide.  Based on ICP multi-element correlations, one of the scandium bearing minerals has been tentatively indicated as the beryllium silicate bazzite (Be₃(Sc,Al)₂Si₆O₁₈).  Elevated levels of tin, tantalum, gallium and yttrium were also identified in the assay test results.
