Showa Denko to Shift Rare-Earth Alloy Output to China-Nikkei

Reuters reported that Showa Denko KK (TYO:4004) plans to move some of its rare earth alloy production to China.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Showa Denko will spend around 200 million yen ($2.5 million)to upgrade its Jiangxi Province plant, which currently makes standard magnetic alloys for hard drives.
