Renewables and Clean Tech to be Affected by Rare Earth Scarcity

Environmental Finance reported that a shortage of rare earth supply may be bad news for renewables.

As quoted in the market news:

Two ways that automotive manufacturers expect to meet tightening emission regulations are electric vehicles and reducing vehicle weight, and rare earth metals are required to construct batteries of the right cost, weight and size.
