REE Demand to Rise, Industry Faces Challenge in Separating REEs into Saleable Products

Mining Weekly reported that it is not the extraction of Rare Earth Elements that creates the greatest challenge, but rather the separation of REEs into saleable products.

As quoted in the market report:

Harmer explained that the move towards cleaner sources of energy and consumer electronics, both of which utilised powerful ‘neomagnets’ containing several REEs, were driving demand for these metals.
