Quantum Rare Earth Developments Corp. (TSXV:QRE) announced that it has mobilized field crews for the fall 2011 fall drill program at the Archie Lake Rare Earth property located in northern Saskatchewan.

The press release is quoted as saying:

The program will include twelve to eighteen holes totaling 1,200 metres, drilled from three pads. The diamond drill holes are projected to range from 50 to 100 metres in order to define the depth extent of the surface mineralization.

To date, high-grade surface Rare Earth Element surface (“REE”) mineralization at the Archie Lake Property has been identified along a strike length of approximately 550 metres, with a width of up to 6 metres, and samples reaching up to 29.9% TREE* (see July 6, 2010 News).

The surface mineralization has been exposed by several previously blasted trenches, and successively mapped and sampled by the company between 2009 and 2011. The mineralogical work to-date has identified REE mineralization exclusively from the mineral monazite, thought to be of paleo-placer origin.

Quantum Rare Earth Developments’ President, Peter Dickie said:

“We are very pleased to start our first drilling campaign at the Archie Lake Project. The high-grade surface REE mineralization has been extremely encouraging, and we look forward testing the mineralization at depth.”
