Philips Works on Reducing its Rare Earth Dependence

IBTimes reported that Royal Philips will try to reduce its need for rare earths in LED products by creating new technology.

CEO Frans van Houten said:

You cannot eliminate it of course. But in our labs we have been able to find a way to significantly reduce the amount of rare earths that we need in order to make our products.
