Orbite Technologies Mourns Passing of Director, Christian Van Houtte

Orbite Technologies (TSX:ORT) has announced the passing of Christian Van Houtte, a long time member of the company’s board of directors.
As quoted in the press release:

Mr. Van Houtte joined Orbite’s Board in 2009 and served on a number of its committees. His distinguished career included the position of President and CEO of the Aluminum Association of Canada for 18 years and Senior Vice-President of Aluminerie de Bécancour (ABI). He has also held senior management positions with the Montreal Construction Association, Société de développement de la Baie James, Canadair, and Northern Electric. He was also a consultant to the Commission of Inquiry on the Exercise of Union Freedom in the Construction Industry, better known as Commission Cliche.

Orbite chairman, Claude Lamoureaux, said:

Christian’s expertise in the field of aluminum and his dedication and commitment to Orbite were fundamental to our development and growth. Working with Christian was a privilege. He will be greatly missed and we extend our sincere condolences to his family.
