Mongolia Rail Boom Seen Breaking China’s Rare Earths Grip

Bloomberg reported that Mongolia is upgrading rail systems in part to reduce global dependence on China for rare earth metals supply.

The market news is quoted as saying:

A mining boom in the world’s most sparsely populated nation promises the greatest influx of wealth for Mongolia since Genghis Khan conquered much of the known world in the 13th century.
