Great West Minerals to Re-Start Steenkampskraal Sooner, Reduce Capex

Mining Weekly reported that Great West Minerals is looking to fast track towards the re-starting of its flagship Steenkampskraal rare earths mine, driven by an effort to lower capital expenditures.

As quoted in the Mining Weekly report:

GWMG said it had plans to construct a rare earths separation plant on site, but that it would follow in a later phase, once monazite mining had started. It was now focused on reducing the capital required to restart the mine.
