Mining Weekly reported that Great West Minerals’ subsidiary, Less Common Metals, is in the process of trying to improve processes for various rare-earth melts, using its new strip cast furnace.

As quoted in the market report:

The company said a series of trials designed to optimise melt conditions that produce various grades of product have been conducted, enabling LCM to thoroughly investigate the full range of furnace process parameters.
