Germany to Focus on Harvesting from Recyclables to Scale Back on Rare Earth Imports

Bloomberg reported that Germany is trying to encourage companies to harvest materials like rare earths from recycled materials to assist in their efforts to become less reliant on imports.

As quoted in the market report:

Germany could significantly reduce rare earth imports if companies would recycle products such as mobile phones and computer hard drives, Environment Minister Peter Altmaier said.
