Community Concerned about Kipawa Lake Contamination from Matamec’s Proposed Rare Earth Mine

The North Bay Nugget reported that Matamec Exploration’s proposed rare earth mine near Temiscaming, Que is running into opposition from the local community, particularly about potential water contamination.

As quoted in the North Bay Nugget report:

I realize people are concerned” about the project, Claude Brisson, director of regional relations, said Tuesday. “They are concerned about the water quality” of Kipawa Lake.
