China Slashes Rare Earth Mining Rights by Half

Bloomberg reported that mining rights for rare earth from China have been cut in half to help the country consolidate its producers.

Reducing mining rights helps streamline rare-earth development. Still, illegal mining is a bigger issue that the government needs to tackle.
