    MarketWatch reported that Microsoft’s new Surface tablet is actually more profitable than similar tablets on the market from Apple.

    As quoted in the market report:

    Surface is a 1.5-pound computer that runs on low power chips more similar to those powering smartphones than PCs. The black device has beveled edges and an exterior made of magnesium that gives it a distinctly different look than the brushed aluminum of the iPad. The case has a built in kickstand and an optional cover that locks firmly in place and functions as a keyboard.
