Reed Resources (ASX:RDR), developing its Barrambie titanium-vanadium-iron deposit in Western Australia, said on Wednesday that it has licensed a third-party hydrometallurgical process to recover the Barrambie ore.

Pioneered in Canada, the technology has produced greater than 99 percent titanium oxide from Barrambie oxide ores, with a first-stage leach allowing for the recovery of vanadium and iron, and a second stage for the recovery of titanium, according to Reed.

As quoted in the market news:

The recent Scoping Study by Snowden Mining Industry Consultants based on this process indicates potential for a viable hard-rock titanium and vanadium mining and processing operation and recommends progression to a Pre-Feasibility Study.
