Largo Resources Announces First Production at Maracas Vanadium Project

Largo Resources Ltd. (TSXV:LGO) announced today that it has acheived first production for its Maracas vanadium project in Bahia, Brazil. The first vanadium pentoxide material from Maracas was produced on August 2, 2014.

As quoted in the press release:

Test-work completed at the Project’s on-site laboratory indicates that the material is anticipated by Largo to meet all required specifications as outlined in the Company’s off-take arrangement. Production volumes are expected to continue to steadily increase over the coming months with the goal of reaching the Project’s Phase 1 nameplate capacity of 9,600 tonnes by or before month 12 of operations.
