Chengdu Steel & Vanadium Workers Strike

The Tibetan Review reported that workers at Chengdu Steel & Vanadium went on strike demanding better employment terms.

As quoted in the market news:

[A] report cited some of the employees as complaining that public servants in government organizations received pay raises every year, thereby raising the country’s overall consumer demand. However, wages of company employees, at an average of $190, were relatively low and seriously lagged behind expenses.
